When you hear the saying “teamwork makes the dream work,” you know without a doubt that North Carolina Cooperative Extension fits as part of that team. My first month as an N.C. Cooperative Extension of Onslow County team member has been nothing short of amazing. I was able to jump right into programming with wonderful events already on the calendar organized by a few seasoned staff. These events sure did keep the ball rolling for 4-H this summer! Of course, I have enjoyed meeting the young people and parents the most. These youth are the present and future of Onslow County and we can’t wait to see the great things they are going to accomplish in our world. Thank you to the club leaders, parents, youth, Extension staff, and volunteers for making me feel welcome and part of the family! Let’s grow Onslow County 4-H and see all that the wonderful world of 4-H can offer our young people!

Pictured below is one of the programs that our Family and Consumer Science staff organized for 4-H this summer. Thanks Ms. Peggie and Mrs. Sarah for putting together such an educational, yet fun event for our youngest 4-H’ers!
