The Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Onslow County (EMGV) is sponsoring a Horticulture Grant Program designed to encourage teachers to go beyond the basic curriculum by offering creative and innovative horticulture opportunities for their students. A horticulture project will increase your students’ vocabulary, math skills, and learn the science of where their food comes from. Areas of interest for funding include but are not limited to such projects as specialty gardens, beneficial insects, worm culture, composting and rain barrels.
