Monarch butterflies

Our Milkweed for Monarchs Kits were geared towards our 4-H youth so we came up with our Planting for Monarchs Kits to give adults a chance to grow their own milkweed plants at home!

We provided all participants with everything they need to get started, including milkweed seeds (Common Milkweed https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/asclepias-syriaca/) and seed starting materials. We also included educational materials to help the participants learn more about the Monarch butterfly life cycle and how they can help protect them.

Our Planting for Monarchs Kits were $5 each. On February 17th, 2021 we sold out of our initial (60) kits.
