4-H cloverWith the recent outbreak of COVID-19, students and parents alike are now at home around the clock. Yes, there’s schoolwork to do and chores that can be done, but there’s also time for you to explore the world of 4-H. Here are some resources to help you during the coming weeks.

National 4-H:
Go to the National 4-H website and download the “4-H Healthy Living Activity Guide” for 30 hands-on, inspirational activities to help children live healthy lifestyles.

North Carolina 4-H:
Visit the North Carolina 4-H page on Facebook for the Daily Spark. The Daily Spark features live events and recorded videos of activities that can be done at home. Events for the next week are posted on Fridays.

Randolph County 4-H:
Check out the Randolph County 4-H page on Facebook for upcoming programs including:

  • Facebook Live Farm-To-Table Lesson series: Each video has a companion resource on the Cooperative Extension website. In addition, there are other educational websites, activity pages and interactive videos.
  • “All About…”: In this upcoming video series, community members will be featured in a short video about their job or career. These videos will be posted on our Randolph County 4-H Facebook and website If you are interested in making a video, contact Allison Walker.
  • Summer Fun Program: Due to the cancellation of face-to-face programming, Randolph County 4-H is presenting a virtual Summer Fun program. Information for this program will be available mid-May.
