Preparing to form compost pile

Preparing to form compost pile! Tools: chipper, hearing protector, gloves, clippers, loppers, & rake. And, of course, the raw materials.

Have you been wanting to begin composting at home, but weren’t sure how? The Composting Basics class will take you through the ins and outs of creating a successful compost pile. What materials can be added? How large does it need to be? How long does it take? What can be done with the finished material? These questions and more will be answered at the Oct. 24, 2018 class held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Onslow Multipurpose Complex, 4024 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville.

To register, call Kate Holt at (910) 455-5873 or email her at akholt2@ncsu.edu

The class is free; however, pre-registration is required by Oct. 22. If you have questions about the class, contact Diana Rashash at diana_rashash@ncsu.edu
