Discovery Garden Update

— Written By
The Master Gardener Volunteers have been busy working on finalizing landscape plans for the various parts of the Discovery Garden. Our Wildlife Garden Crew has been particularly busy and we were able to start installing plants! We had a workday and planted 84 shrubs and perennials in the wildlife garden. Each plant was chosen for its ability to attract wildlife as a source of food or shelter. I’d especially like to recognize Jean Rebholz whose efforts and vision brought this landscape design together!
When you are walking through the garden, check out the new plants (they are in the back, as the boardwalk goes into the woods). We will be installing more plants soon so keep an eye out for each new addition. The Labelling Committee is working on getting the plants in the garden catalogued and labelled so soon you will know what each plant is at a glance.
